A Mexican Loteria inspired board game designed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sypstema 2-Q was invented in the year 2020 at the start of the Covid 19 pandemic when don D.M.González (hi!) suddenly found himself with more time on his hands than he knew what to do with. His 10 year old son was, at the time, into an anime called Hunter X Hunter and they were both watching the season where the two main characters get sucked into a video game wherein they have to learn how to play an intricate kind of card game. “Why don’t you make a game like that, dad?” don D.M.González’ son asked. “Um, okay”, don D.M.González replied. Thus, several months later, was born Sypstema 2-Q (a word don D.M.González made up that was meant to evoke Covid 19) which, incidentally, is nothing at all like the game in Hunter X Hunter!
Chamán
A ‘keyboard’ for speaking with otherworldly entities…what’s there not to like?
Chamán was invented by don D.M.González when, one day, he found himself wondering what kind of game he should invent next. “Hmm,” he thought and then struggled for several minutes to come up with an idea before giving up. The next day it occurred to him that instead of inventing a game he should just invent a new kind of talking board that people could use to summon entities from different planes, this way he could just sidestep the whole inventing a new game ordeal. And, thus, Chamán was born!
V3
V3: modern game for modern times.
V3 was invented when, one day, it occurred to don D.M.González that maybe he should invent a third game to go along with the first two he had come up with. He got out some paper and started drawing random straight lines through it with a ruler until he came up with something interesting that resembled three V’s. “What if I make a game that requires three players, no less, no more?” he thought to himself. Thus began a long quest to write the rules for a game that, alas, never came to fruition. In other words he’s appealing to you, dear fellow board game player, to help him come up with some cool rules for a game he’s spent a whole lot of time messing around with, fruitlessly. The game must be, like all don D.M.González games, played with beans and can include, if you wish, small 2 minute sand timers. You will get full credit and royalties for every game sold if he chooses your rules! Please send him a copy of the rules to dondmg23@gmail.com along with a short video explaining the rules. Tip Stickers
Remind the passengers you take from point A to point B why tipping Ride-share drivers is important.
Tip Stickers were invented when don D.M.González (a ride-share driver) realized that the vast majority of his passengers didn’t tip despite him being a great driver who pleasantly, and safely, got his passengers from point A to point B. Tip Stickers weren’t stickers at all at first but hand written notes written on pieces of paper for passengers to read explaining to them how important tips are for ride-share drivers. These pieces of paper explained to them that companies like Uber and Lyft take 25% of the ride fare along with other hidden fees leaving the driver with a mediocre part of the fare despite them having to maintain their expensive vehicles. These pieces of paper, though, reeked of desperation and don D.M.González found that, often, passengers would feel affronted by them (those cheapskate bastards). Thus was born the Tip Sticker!
Bookmarks by Zeláznog
Bookmarks more interesting than the book they’re tucked into.
Bookmarks by Zeláznog were invented when it occurred to don D.M.González that bookmarks weren’t creative enough. “What if,” he thought, “I could invent a bookmark that was more interesting than the book it was inside of?” Thus was born Bookmarks by Zeláznog (Zeláznog is González spelled backwards)! The five currently for sale are MacGuffin themed but keep your eye peeled for different themed bookmarks soon (ish)!
